Who can enroll in the Marine Science study program?
- all citizens of the Republic of Croatia who have completed a four-year secondary education
- citizens of EU member states who have completed a four-year secondary education or an equivalent level of secondary schooling
- non-EU citizens who have completed a four-year secondary education or an equivalent level of secondary schooling
Enrollment quotas for the Marine Science study program
- EU citizens: 24 students
- Non-EU citizens: 2 students
- Total: 26 students
Students coming from EU member states are not counted within the quota for non-EU citizens and have the same rights and access to education as Croatian citizens.
Direct enrollment as full-time students outside the approved quota is granted to:
- Croatian war veterans and Croatian disabled war veterans of the Homeland War
- children of fallen, imprisoned, or missing Croatian defenders, and children of 100% disabled Croatian war veterans of the Homeland War
- children of persons killed, deceased, or missing, and children of civilian victims of the Homeland War, as well as children of peacetime military and civilian invalids of war of Category I, in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids

Publication of final ranking lists for the Marine Science study program:
- Summer enrolment period: 16 July 2025, after 15:00
- Autumn enrolment period: 17 September 2025, after 15:00
Enrolment in the first year of the Marine Science study program:
- Summer enrolment period: from 17 July 2025
- Autumn enrolment period: from 18 September 2025

Applications for the autumn (September) admission period will be accepted only if, after the completion of the summer admission period, there are still available places.
The number of available places for the autumn admission period will be published on the notice boards and the University website.
For candidates who completed their high school education in the Republic of Croatia, documents and data are entered into the Central Application Office system (SPU) by the Central Application Office of the Agency for Science and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the National Centre for External Evaluation.
If you completed a four-year high school education in Croatia before 2010 or you completed your secondary education abroad (foreign citizens and students from other EU countries), you should contact the Central Application Office of the Agency for Science and Higher Education for information on the necessary documents and how to submit them.
Candidates are required to verify the accuracy of their documents and data entered in the SPU system and, in case of inaccuracies, request corrections. The applicant is personally responsible for any inaccuracies in documents or entered data discovered after the admission procedure has been completed, during enrollment at the higher education institution.

Ranking of Applicants for the Marine Science Study Programme
All applicants are ranked according to the points they achieved based on the following categories:

Applicants gain the right to enrollment according to their total points on the final ranking list, until the enrollment quota is filled.
Enrollment Procedure for the Marine Science Study Program
Juraj Dobrila University of Pula conducts enrollment into the first year of undergraduate university study program entirely online, through the “Upisi UniPu” application. The application is available on the University website at:
https://www.unipu.hr/
To access the web application, you will need your OIB, your application number, and the email address through which you will verify your application (on the date when enrollment begins). Detailed instructions are provided for each step within the application.
After logging into the “Upisi UniPu” application, by accepting the General Terms and Conditions you confirm the conditions for concluding the Study Agreement. You will then receive the payment details for the enrollment fee in the amount of 39.82 EUR. The payment information becomes available as soon as you confirm your enrollment, and the payment must be made immediately so that the enrollment process can continue.
It is important that candidates who have gained the right to enroll do not make any payments outside the online application, nor before the official enrollment schedule at Juraj Dobrila University of Pula begins.
An applicant who does not make use of their right to enroll within the enrollment period during which that right was obtained loses the right to enrollment.
