Blue-connect 3.0 Project Begins – Numerous Science Popularization Activities Await You

Several associate partners from the scientific and educational sectors—both within Croatia and internationally—are also actively involved in the project's execution. The core of the program consists of two editions of the European Researchers' Night. This is the largest European event dedicated to the popularization of science, traditionally held on the last Friday of September. Visitors in Rijeka, Pula, Zadar, Split, and Dubrovnik can look forward to interactive workshops, experiments, exhibitions, quizzes, games, and meetings with researchers who will present their work in an engaging and accessible way.

Special emphasis is placed on collaboration with schools. Through the year-round "Researchers at Schools" program, scientists will visit primary and secondary schools. Meanwhile, students will have the opportunity to visit laboratories and research institutions to experience the world of science firsthand. Activities will cover topics such as marine and environmental protection, climate change, health, sustainable nutrition, and new technologies and innovations shaping our daily lives. All activities are held under the project motto, "I Research", aiming to strengthen the connection between science and society while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and interest in research among all generations, especially the youth.

Blue-connect 3.0 is funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program and represents a continuation of the previous editions.
