Project "3DandVRforVET"...
"How to successfully communicate your projects" was the topic of this year's Thematic Meeting for Erasmus+ beneficiaries and the European Solidarity Force. The virtual annual meeting, held on June 7th 2022, brought together numerous participants from across the educational vertical from preschool to higher education and adult and youth education. The aim of the meeting was to inspire and empower the participants of this organization for better and more effective communication on funding projects under the Erasmus+ program and the European Solidarity Force. Participants had the opportunity to get a clearer picture of how to contribute to the successful communication of priorities and projects under both programs, and during the event were distributed as useful manuals and materials on successful communication of EU-funded projects.

University gift for the City of Pula:...
The final conference of the project "3D and VR for VET Technologies" within the Erasmus + program was held on 28th April at the Veteran Community Center in Pula. The international project with a total value of more than EUR 200,000 is coordinated by the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula.

Agency for mobility and EU programs held a webinar on the 8th February aiming to present the possibilities within Key Activity 2 in the area of vocational education and training. On that occasion, the program priorities were presented and  the specifics of the program, collaborative partnerships and small partnerships.

University and Medical School Pula in...
Within the Erasmus + project "3DandVRforVET", the delegation of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, composed of Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić (project manager) and Kristina Hlavati Bertoncelj , mag. oec., went for a working visit on the intellectual output to Mediterranean Institute for Life Science - MediLS in Split. The delegation of the Medical School Pula, project partner, consisting of Monika Buršić, Krešo Dembić and Danijela Panić led a team of seven pupils who participated in the production of learning video materials. The main idea of the project is the creation, development and transfer of innovative and specialized tools and skills in the field of robotics, virtual reality and their transfer to vocational education.

The exhibition "Knowledge to health: 65 years of the Medical School Pula (1956-2021)" was opened in the museum-gallery space „Sveta srca“ in Pula. It will be open until February 2nd 2022, and culminate with the publication of the school monograph. The exhibition brings photographs of students and school staff over 65 years, numerous objects, videos and a large number of displays of the development of health care in Istria during the Austro-Hungarian and Italian periods.

Bronze medal for the 3D model of the...
The international exhibition iENA 2021 was held from 4 th to 7th November, and on that occasion the 3D model of the arena was awarded a bronze medal in a very strong international competition. On behalf of the project team, the results were presented by: Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić (Juraj Dobrila University in Pula), Ivan Žagar (principle of the Medical School Pula), and Danijela Panić and Ana Krelja (teachers of vocational subjects).

Within the Erasmus KA2 project "Promise" -Personalized Medicine inquiry-Based Education, a dissemination event was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Zagreb, organized by the Mediterranean Institute for Life Research (MediLS). On behalf of MediLS, r epresentatives were the director Jelena Ružić, mag.oec, dr.sc. Branka Bernard, Andrea Gelemanović and Irena Rajić. Kristina Hlavati Bertoncelj, mag.oec from the Office for Partnership and Projects presented Juraj Dobrila University of Pula projects that are in implementation, with special emphasis on Erasmus + KA2 projects - " 3D and Virtual reality technologies for VET " and „Boosting the scientific excellence and innovation capacity of 3D printing methods in pandemic period – BRIGHT ”. Representatives of Medical School Pula also participated in the event.

International project meeting and the...
As part of the "3DandVRforVET" project, the third international project meeting of the consortium was held on 8th July, organized by the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula and the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MediLS). Representatives of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula were Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić, project manager; Ivona Peternel,PhD -  Head of the Office for Partnerships and Projects and Kristina Hlavati Bertoncelj, expert associate for international projects and programs.

STEMI founder Marin Trušelj in a...
Marin Trušelj, co-founder of the IT company STEMI, visited Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. Within the project "3DandVRforVET" he met with the general project manager Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić and Kristina Hlavati Bertoncelj , expert associate  for international projects and programs. STEMI is a domestic project that is initially funded through a crowdfunding campaign, and over 50 robots have been donated to Croatian schools. Through project development and previous experience, STEMI has moved into a startup company with notable international success at the largest consumer electronics show in the United States - CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2017 in Las Vegas. The STEMI team has successfully developed and commercialized the STEMI Hexapod - for learning robotics and engineering.

Technical team meeting held
"3DandVRforVET" project consortium technical team meeting was held online on the 21st May. On behalf of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, participants were  Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić , Ivona Peternel , PhD and Ivan Veljović , M.Sc. ing. mech. Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić greeted those present with a welcome speech. Ivona Peternel, PhD presented guidelines within project administration, dissemination and exploitation. Deadlines for submitting interim progress reports were presented.

Invitation for students
We invite all interested students to cooperate in the implementation of the project. Interested students are expected to have: a good knowledge of computer work, knowledge of working in one of the CAM/CAD/CAE programming environments or knowledge of one of the programming languages and a propensity for teamwork. Cooperation on a full-time student project is regulated through a student contract. The open call lasts throughout the implementation of the project.

International consortium meeting of...
International partnership meeting within the project "3DandVRforVET" was held on March 26th 2021 in a virtual edition.

Presentation of project results held...
As part of the "3DandVRforVET" project, on the March 18th 2021, a visit and presentation of the intellectual results 1 and part of the intellectual results of 2 were held to the pupils of the Industrial - Craft School Pula. The presentation was organized by  Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić and Ivan Veljović, mag. ing. mech. from the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula and Dragan Radovanović (director of the Industrial - Craft School Pula) and teacher Dragan Pantić.

Presentation of project results to...
Within the project "3D and VR for VET", the intellectual result 2 is being intensively developed. As part of the development of that project result, presentations were held at the Medical School Pula. Assoc. prof. Sven Maričić, project manager for the University, introduced the Arena model for the blind and visually impaired to the graduate pupils. On that occasion, the students had the opportunity to do a tactile test of the model.

Concrete consortium results for...
As part of the "3DandVrforVET" project, a delegation from the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MediLS) spent a working week in Pula. MediLS Director Jelena Ružić, Scientific Coordinator Branka Bernard, Anja Šuta and Andrea Gelemanović participated in numerous meetings related to the planning of the future cooperation between the two project partners.

Model testing for the blind and...
At the end of November, a 3D model for blind and partially sighted people was presented at the Association of the Blind of the Istrian County, as part of the work on the intellectual result 2. This is a successful cooperation within the Erasmus + project "3DandVRforVET" between the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula, The Foundation for Partnership and Civil Society Development and the Association for the Blind.

Presentation of 3D models for the...
A presentation of 3D models for blind and partially sighted people was held in the Pula amphitheater on December 3rd 2020 as part of the „3D and Virtual Reality Technologies for VET project“. The presentation, led by Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić, general project manager, was attended by Assoc. Mirjana Radetić-Paić (Vice-Rector for Students, Educational Programs and Cooperation), prof. Marinko Škare (Vice-Rector for Research, Arts and Cooperation), Višnja Radunović Popović (Director of the School of Education), Daniela Panić (Medical School in Pula), Zlatko Kuftić (President of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired of Istria), Ph.D. Ivona Peternel (Head of the Office for Partnerships and Projects), Ines Pruginić, Jasmin Rami.

Within organization of newspaper „Jutarnji List“ online roundtable „Europe in my region“+- Economic Development and Innovation“ was held on the 30th October. General project manager Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić has presented the „3DandVRforVET“ project results.

Within project „3DandVRforVET“, international consortium meeting was held online. The central part was presentation of the finished intellectual output one – Handbook for pupils of medical and vocational schools – „Recipes for 3D experience“.

Within project „3DandVRforVET“ Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić has presented the project results in Medical School Pula from 12th to 14th October 2020. Handbook for Medical School „ Recipes for 3D experience“ was presented to students from second to fourth grade.

In the middle of June second online international partners consortium meeting within project „3DandVRforVET“ was held. General project manager Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić opened the meeting with a brief presentation of workplan and key theme points of the meeting. University of Pula Rector Prof. Alfio Barbieri, advisor Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić and Ivona Peternel, PhD have visited Mediterranean Institute for Life Science – MediLS. The visit was organized within Erasmus+ project „3DandVRforVET“ where University is coordinator, and delegation has also participated in some professional workshops.

Within project „3d and Virtual Reality Technologies for VET“ online conference was held in organisation of Juraj Dobrila University of Pula and Scientific – technology institute VISIO. Participants were: project manager Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić, Vice Rector for research, art and cooperation Prof. Marinko Škare, prof. Miroslav Radman (Mediterranean Institute for Life Science), Branka Bernard, PhD (MediLS), Mladen Merćep (MediLS ), Tinka Vidović (MediLS) , Damir Medved (Ericsson Nikola Tesla), Valter Flego rapporteur of European Parliament for the Digital Europe program, European innovator of the year 2017 Michela Magaš and artist Martine – Nicole Rojina.

Within Erasmus+ project „3D and Virtual Reality Technologies for VET“ - 3DandVRforVET, project reference 2019-1-HR01-KA202-061006, first virtual consortium meeting was held from 5th to 6th May 2020. In accordance with current epidemiological situation, two-days meeting was held virtually. Assoc. Prof. Sven Maričić (General Project Manager) opened the international meeting with introductary word and announced Assoc. Prof. Valter Boljunčić, Vice- Rector for Cooperation, Innovation and Technology Transfer.
